French Basic Buckwheat Crepes Recipe

TRADITIONAL FRENCH RECIPE: Also referred to as galettes in Brittany, France, buckwheat crêpes have gained in popularity around the world in large part because they're a tasty, gluten-free alternative to a traditional crêpe.

In Brittany, authentic savory crêpes are made with buckwheat flour and filled with anything you can dream of. These simple buckwheat crepes taste great with sweet or savory ingredients. They're easy to master, but keep your eyes on the pan.

A common galette filling in France is cheese and ham with a sunny-side-up egg on top. But with all the savory fillings out there, you can experiment with your own favorite combinations of meat, fish, cheese, eggs, vegetables, fruit, nuts, etc.
