Japanese Teriyaki Burger ( 照り焼きバーガー ) Recipe

TRADITIONAL JAPANESE RECIPE: Teriyaki Burger may sound very American, but it’s actually first created by a Japanese burger chain Mos Burger in 1973 (source) and it’s been a regular menu at McDonald’s and Mos Burger in Japan. This has been my favorite burger growing up when my mom lets me enjoy fast food. Today I’ve added grilled pineapple slice in the burger, which makes it more Hawaiian style and drizzled it with homemade Teriyaki Sauce.

    450gr Ground Beef

     

    4 Hamburger Buns

     

    1 Tomato
    ( sliced )

     

    Teriyaki Sauce
    ( Recipe Here )

     

    Japanese Mayonnaise
    ( or regular Mayonnaise )

     

    Lettuce
    ( shredded )

     

    0.5 Onion
    ( sliced )

     

    Oil
    ( to fry )

     

    Salt and Pepper
    ( to taste )

    15.8oz Ground Beef

     

    4 Hamburger Buns

     

    1 Tomato
    ( sliced )

     

    Teriyaki Sauce
    ( Recipe Here )

     

    Japanese Mayonnaise
    ( or regular Mayonnaise )

     

    Lettuce
    ( shredded )

     

    0.5 Onion
    ( sliced )

     

    Oil
    ( to fry )

     

    Salt and Pepper
    ( to taste )




  • Cups:

     

     

     

    2 cups Ground Beef

     

    4 Hamburger Buns

     

    1 Tomato
    ( sliced )

     

    Teriyaki Sauce
    ( Recipe Here )

     

    Japanese Mayonnaise
    ( or regular Mayonnaise )

     

    Lettuce
    ( shredded )

     

    0.5 Onion
    ( sliced )

     

    Oil
    ( to fry )

     

    Salt and Pepper
    ( to taste )




 

 

 

Directions:


 

01 - Cook the Teriyaki Sauce.

 

02 - Mix Ground Beef, Salt and Pepper.

 

03 - Divide into 4 round patties.

 

04 - Heat some oil in a skillet at medium heat, and place the patties in, and cook for about 5 minutes on each side.

 

05 - On the bottom half of each Bun put in this order: Meat, Teriyaki Sauce ( Recipe Here ), Tomato Slice, Onion, Shredded Lettuce, Mayo and finally top with the other half of the Bun. Serve.





Notes:


 

- Feel free now to slightly toast the Hamburger Buns or leave them fresh.

 

- The Meat can be cooked more or less the time adviced, it all depends to your liking.
