TRADITIONAL JAPANESE RECIPE: This is a great marinade for pork, chicken and steak. My family loves it as is has a little kick. Add your choice of meat, and marinate for 3 to 4 hours before grilling.

0.5 cup Soy Sauce
0.25 cup Water Mixed with
2 tablespoons Cornstarch
0.25 cup Brown Sugar
3 tablespoons Mirin
1 tablespoon Honey
1.5 tablespoons Fresh Ginger
( minced )
1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
1 teaspoon Garlic
( minced )
Directions:
01 - Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 4 minutes.
02 - Remove from heat and let cool.
03 - Store in the fridge for up to a week.
Notes:
- Mirin is a sweet Japanese Rice Wine, similar to Sake but with a lower alcohol content and higher sugar content. If you don’t have Mirin, you can use Sherry with a pinch of Sugar added to it.
