TRADITIONAL JAPANESE RECIPE: Matcha Kakigori is a quick dessert that literally takes just a few minutes to put together if you have all the ingredients.
You can purchase a shave ice machine, if you wish, but you should do this only after doing a bit of research and reading reviews. Inexpensive shave ice machines are easy to operate but won’t make the nice, fluffy, snowy shaved ice.
The quality of kakigori matcha is not just in the leaves, but also in the ice itself. The soft and fresh aroma and rich flavors fills the mouth. You can add condensed milk, ice cream and anko sweet bean paste.
This kakigori is made over a span of two days using original matcha tea procured specially from a tea wholesaler in Uji, one of the best matcha in Japan, but you can use any type of Matcha. Finally, Matcha syrup is further poured over it.

Directions:
01 - Dissolve Matcha tea powder in hot water.
02 - Cool and freeze overnight.

- You can leave the shaved ice plain or top it with Red Bean Paste Anko and/or Sweetened Condensed Milk.
