TRADITIONAL JAPANESE RECIPE: If you're bored of the classic Japanese Egg Sandwich Recipe ( Tamago Sando Recipe たまごサンド ) this little twist will make you rethink the whole Tamago Sando concept. The Bacos will definitely add some extra flavour because we all know the Bacon... makes everything better.

Another little twist is the Carbonara Sando.

Ingredients:

    5 Large Eggs

    8 Slices Shokupan
    ( Japanese Pullman lLoaf Bread )

    140gr Bacon

    15gr Garlic
    ( finely chopped )

    Salted Butter



    Seasonings:

    60gr Japanese Mayonnaise

    2gr Sugar

    1gr Salt
    ( use half for table salt )

    Freshly Ground Black Pepper




  • Imperial:

     

     

     

    5 Large Eggs

    8 Slices Shokupan
    ( Japanese Pullman lLoaf Bread )

    4.93oz Bacon

    0.52oz Garlic
    ( finely chopped )

    Salted Butter



    Seasonings:

    2.11oz Japanese Mayonnaise

    0.07oz Sugar

    0.03oz Salt
    ( use half for table salt )

    Freshly Ground Black Pepper




  • Cups:

     

     

     

    5 Large Eggs

    8 Slices Shokupan
    ( Japanese Pullman lLoaf Bread )

    0.75 cup Bacon

    2 teaspoons Garlic
    ( finely chopped )

    Salted Butter



    Seasonings:

    4 tablesppoons Japanese Mayonnaise

    0.5 teaspoon Sugar

    0.5 teaspoon Salt
    ( use half for table salt )

    Freshly Ground Black Pepper




 

 

 

Directions:


 

01 - Boil the Eggs in a medium saucepan for about 12 minutes, making sure the Water covers the Eggs.

02 - Once they're ready, transfer the Eggs into iced water to stop them cooking and let them cool completely.

03 - Peel the Egg Shells.



04 - Slightly sautee Bacon and Garlic in a frying pan or skillet over medium heat. Turn heat off and set aside to cool.



05 - Put the peeled Eggs in a bowl and mash them with a fork into small pieces.

06 - Add Sugar and Salt and mix well.

07 - Add in Bacon and Garlic.

08 - Add Freshly Ground Black Pepper and mix well.

09 - And finally, add Mayonnaise and mix once more.



To Assemble:

10 - Spread the Butter on both sides of bread.

11 - Evenly distribute the Egg Salad on one side of the bread.

12 - Put the other slice of bread on top and place the sandwich between two plates. Set aside for 5 minutes.

13 - Cut the Crusts off the bread.

14 - Slice the Sandwich in half. Serve.





Notes:


- Before you assemble the sandwich, taste and add more Salt and Pepper if needed.
