TRADITIONAL BRITISH RECIPE: This is the Traditional Tartar Sauce Recipe, not just a simple Mayonnaise and Pickle mixture but so much more. In fact, this Tarta Sauce Recipe includes an orgy or flavours, complete with Capers, Chives, and Dijon Mustard.

But what really makes this Tarta Sauce really the best one you will ever find, is undoubtedly the Capers and fresh Chives.

This Traditional Tartar Sauce is also be great with baked Fish, Crab Cakes, Salmon Burgers or even your favorite Fish Cakes. It’s a very versatile sauce.

Ingredients:

  • Metric:

     

     

     

    220gr Mayonnaise

    30gr Dill Pickle Relish
    (or chopped dill pickles)

    17gr Capers
    ( smashed )

    5.5gr Fresh Chives
    ( chopped )

    10gr Lemon Juice

    10gr Dill Pickle Juice

    4.5gr Whole Grain
    ( or Dijon mustard )

    Salt & Pepper
    ( to taste )




  • Imperial:

     

     

     

    7.76oz Mayonnaise

    1.05oz Dill Pickle Relish
    (or chopped dill pickles)

    0.59oz Capers
    ( smashed )

    0.19oz Fresh Chives
    ( chopped )

    0.35 Lemon Juice

    0.35 Dill Pickle Juice

    0.15oz Whole Grain
    ( or Dijon mustard )

    Salt & Pepper
    ( to taste )




  • Cups:

     

     

     

    1 cup Mayonnaise

    2 tablespoons Dill Pickle Relish
    (or chopped dill pickles)

    2 tablespoons Capers
    ( smashed )

    1.5 tablespoons Fresh Chives
    ( chopped )

    2 teaspoons Lemon Juice

    2 teaspoons Dill Pickle Juice

    2 teaspoons Whole Grain
    ( or Dijon mustard )

    Salt & Pepper
    ( to taste )




 

 

 

Directions:


 

01 - Gently stir all the Ingredients together in a medium bowl.

02 - Adjust seasoning with Salt and Pepper.

03 - Let the Tartar Sauce to sit for 30 minutes in the fridge to allow flavors to develop.





Notes:


- This Homemade Tartar Sauce must be stored and kept in the fridge for up to 3 days.
