Japanese Yakitori ( 焼き鳥 ) Recipe

TRADITIONAL JAPANESE RECIPE: Yakitori could be a dish at your dinner table, but it is more like the food you eat with drinks at bars. A lot of Yakitori bars grill their chicken on a charcoal grill, and the tasty smells of grilled meat and smoke come out to the street to attract customers. People in Japan like to go out to drink after work, and Yakitori bars are one of the most popular places to have a drink.

    450gr Chicken Thighs

     

    2 Long White Onions
    ( or 5-6 Green Onions)

     

    Vegetable Oil

     

    Salt

     

     

     

    Sauce:

     

    Yakitori Sauce

    15.8oz Chicken Thighs

     

    2 Long White Onions
    ( or 5-6 Green Onions)

     

    Vegetable Oil

     

    Salt

    2 cups Chicken Thighs

     

    2 Long White Onions
    ( or 5-6 Green Onions)

     

    Vegetable Oil

     

    Salt

     

     

     

    Sauce:

     

    Yakitori Sauce
    ( Recipe Here )




 

 

 

Directions:


 

01 - Soak the Bamboo Skewers ( at least 15cm / 6in long ) in water for 30 minutes. This will prevent them from burning.

 

02 - Cut the Chicken Thighs into 2.5cm / 1in cubes, and the Onions ( white part ) into 2.5cm / 1in pieces.

 

03 - Skewer Chicken and Onions alternately.

 

04 - Spread a very little bit of Oil on a frying pan, and cook the skewered meat at medium high heat for 10 minutes or until browned and cooked through.

 

05 - Immediately dip Chicken in the Yakitori Sauce ( Recipe Here ). Serve.
