TRADITIONAL JAPANESE RECIPE: Tuna Poke ( マグロポケ ) is a uniquly refreshing salad. Fresh Avocados and Sushi-Grade Tuna are a must for this dish, so do not try to go for a cheaper version as it consists of cubed raw Ahi Tuna (yellowfin tuna) marinated in Soy Sauce.

    225gr Sushi-Grade Tuna

    2 Avocados

    Lemon Juice

    2 Green Onion
    ( Scallion )

    A Pinch of Ogo Seaweed



    Seasoning:

    72gr Soy Sauce

    18gr La-Yu
    ( Japanese Chili Oil )

    Sea Salt
    ( to taste )



    Toppings:

    White Sesame Seeds
    ( roasted/toasted )

    Shichimi Togarashi
    ( Japanese Seven Spice )




  • Imperial:

     

     

     

    0.5lb Sushi-Grade Tuna

    2 Avocados

    Lemon Juice

    2 Green Onion
    ( Scallion )

    A Pinch of Ogo Seaweed



    Seasoning:

    2.53oz Soy Sauce

    0.63oz La-Yu
    ( Japanese Chili Oil )

    Sea Salt
    ( to taste )



    Toppings:

    White Sesame Seeds
    ( roasted/toasted )

    Shichimi Togarashi
    ( Japanese Seven Spice )




  • Cups:

     

     

     

    For about 2 People Sushi-Grade Tuna

    2 Avocados

    Lemon Juice

    2 Green Onion
    ( Scallion )

    A Pinch of Ogo Seaweed



    Seasoning:

    4 tablespoons Soy Sauce

    1 tablespoons La-Yu
    ( Japanese Chili Oil )

    Sea Salt
    ( to taste )



    Toppings:

    White Sesame Seeds
    ( roasted/toasted )

    Shichimi Togarashi
    ( Japanese Seven Spice )




 

 

 

Directions:


 

01 - Soak the Ogo Seaweed in some Water for 5 minutes.

02 - Drain the Ogo Seaweed and chop into small pieces.



03 - Chop the Green Onion into small pieces.

04 - Dice the Tuna into small bite-size square pieces.



05 - Slice the Avocados into cubes and scoop up with a spoon.

06 - Squeeze some Lemon Juice on to the Avocado to keep it from turning brown.

07 - Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.

08 - Add the Seasonings and toss until well combines.

09 - Divide into portions and sprinkle some Roasted White Sesame Seeds and Shichimi Togarashi. Serve.
