Japanese Avocado Salad with Wasabi Dressing Recipe

TRADITIONAL JAPANESE RECIPE: When spring arrives, I normally eat lots of spring vegetables. After the winter the best thing to eat is actually royal jelly... but it has to be matched with great spring foods. In pring onions are incredibly sweet and should be eaten raw in as many dishes as possible. Why am i talking about Onions? Because you could add them to this recipe if you want. An interesting twist to this recipe.

This japanese Avocado Salad with Wasabi Dressing is a little side dish for your dinner. A quick and easy side dish salad, but with a little kick from Wasabi. Avocado and a Wasabi mayo sauce make an unusual match.

Wasabi, you’ve probably encountered when eating sushi. It’s similar to horseradish (actually virtually all of the wasabi you get outside Japan is horseradish) so you can definitely use grated horseradish or you can go for the store-bought wasabi. If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on real wasabi, I would imagine this dish would be even better.

    4 Avocado

     

    Roasted Nori Seaweed
    ( cut thinly )

     

     

     

    Dressing:

     

    10gr Wasabi Paste

     

    30ml Soy Sauce

     

    14ml Lemon Juice

     

    80gr Japanese Mayonnaise




  • Imperial:

     

     

     

    4 Avocado

     

    Roasted Nori Seaweed
    ( cut thinly )

     

     

     

    Dressing:

     

    0.35oz Wasabi Paste

     

    1oz Soy Sauce

     

    0.48oz Lemon Juice

     

    2.8oz Japanese Mayonnaise




  • Cups:

     

     

     

    4 Avocado

     

    Roasted Nori Seaweed
    ( cut thinly )

     

     

     

    Dressing:

     

    1 teaspoon Wasabi Paste

     

    6 tablespoons Soy Sauce

     

    4 teaspoons Lemon Juice

     

    6 tbsp Japanese Mayonnaise




 

 

 

Directions:


 

01 - Peel and cut the Avocado into 5cm / 2in cubes.

 

02 - In a small bowl, mix all the ingredients for the dressing, untill everything is well combine.

 

03 - Add the Avocado cubes and mix.

 

04 - Top with Nori strips and Serve.
