How about some raisins soaked in rum? I experimented with this recipe, leading to some interesting outcomes. The taste was still delightful and the brownies were moist. I've baked these on countless occasions. In fact, they are requested more often than my regular chocolate brownies. I usually reduce the white and brown sugar amounts and add a bit more yam, which makes them delicious and not overly sweet.
