I paired this frosting with my pumpkin bundt cake, and the results were fantastic. I used half the suggested amount of bourbon, to harmonize with the sweetness of the powdered sugar. Despite leaving out the cream cheese, I achieved a ganache-like consistency which was perfect for my needs. Next time I am definitely going to include cream cheese and the full dose of bourbon. A must-try!
